Services for Nellie Sue Barger, 77 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10 am on March 17, 2018 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at McCoy Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on June 8, 1940 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Ruby Katherine (Hamil) Hight and William Jacob Hight and passed away on March 14, 2018 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Billy George “Si” Barger on February 8, 1957 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was a secretary for Bob Paris and a Protestant. She had a zest for life that was unmatched from her love of her flowers, non stop running, to a fun trip to the casino. She was always on the go and will always be remembered for her vibrant personality and unmatched ability to hold a conversation with anyone she met.

Husband: Billy George “Si” Barger

2 sons: Steven Barger and wife, Alexandria of Pueblo, CO and Joel Barger and wife, Deborah of Tulsa, OK

4 grandchildren: Jacob Barger, Victoria Martinez, Samantha Barger, and Brandon Barger

1 great granddaughter: Taylor Barger

2 brothers: Ben and J.J. Hight, both of Sallisaw, OK

2 sisters: June Dorsey of Verdigris, OK and Mary Lou Thompson of Sallisaw, OK

Numerous other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jacob “Billy” Hight and Ruby Katherine Hamil Hight; 2 brothers, Byron Hight and Robert Melvin “Bud” Hight; 2 sisters, Louise Berg and Marcella Knight

Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Barger, Jimmy Quakenbush, Jacob Barger, Charles Dewayne Barger.

Viewing will be Thursday from noon – 8 pm and Friday 10 am – 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK. The family will greet Friday from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
