Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on June 16, 1929 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Emma Creekpaum Brassfield and Ervin Matt Brassfield and passed away on August 9, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She worked at Okla-Homer Smith Furniture as a Final Furniture Inspector and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors are:
1 daughter in law: Margie Vaughan of Muldrow, OK
1 granddaughter: Tracy Brackett of Muldrow, OK
1 grandson: Ashley and wife: Daleana Vaughan of Ft. Smith, AR
5 great grandchildren: Cory Brackett, Courtney Brackett, Grant Vaughan, Blake Vaughan and Nevaeh Brooke Vaughan
2 sisters: Vera Palmer of Charleston, AR and Vergie Frasier of Muldrow, OK
1 brother: Amos Brassfield of Sallisaw, OK
several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Ricky Vaughan, her parents, 1st husband: Calvin Vaughan, 2nd husband: Jack Cody, 1 sister, 3 brothers and 1 grandchild: Kimberly Vaughan.
Active Pallbearers will be Ashley Vaughan, Grant Vaughan, Blake Vaughan, Matthew Brassfield, Cory Brackett and Bobby Brackett.
Viewing will be 4 – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
