Services for Oleta Barton, 82 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 2 pm on March 25, 2018 at Vian Freewill Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on May 14, 1935 in Atkins, Arkansas to Minnie Lee (King) Baker and Frank Orvil Baker and passed away on March 22, 2018 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was married to Norman Carl “Buzz” Barton, Sr. on January 1, 1955 in Greenville, MS. She was a member of Vian Freewill Baptist Church and the Town Clerk for City of Vian.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Shayla Barton of Vian, OK

2 sons: Norman Barton Jr. and wife, Sarah of Cookson, OK and Ed Barton and wife, Rebecca of Vian, OK

6 grandchildren: Caitlyn Jarrett, Tanner, Brooke, Beau, Carlee, and Jaxon Barton

1 great grandchild: Andrew Jarrett

2 sisters: Meda Rose Holt of Vian, OK and Sue Isham of Broken Arrow, OK

4 brothers: Charles Baker of Benton, KY, William Baker of Charleston, SC, Paul Wayne Baker of Cookson, OK, and Roger Baker of Ft. Gibson, OK

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Carl “Buzz” Barton, Sr.; daughter, Gayla Barton; 1 grandson, Grant Barton; her parents, Frank and Minnie Baker; and 3 brothers, Johnny Baker, Donald Baker, and Carmen Baker

Active Pallbearers will be Charles Baker, Paul Wayne Baker, Roger Baker, Bill Sanford, Kevin Baker, and
Trent Holt.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Brockman, Ed Brockman, Dr. Tommy McCreight, Louie Isham, Dan Callahan, and staff of Vian Nursing and Rehab .

Viewing will be Saturday Noon – 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
The family will greet Saturday 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
