She was born on December 2, 1952 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Ruby Mae (Dudley) Phillips and Billy Gene Phillips and passed away on March 6, 2024 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was married to Michael Dee Hunter on October 22, 1971 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2019. Mrs. Hunter retired from Whirlpool Corporation.

Survivors are two sons: Michael Shawn Hunter and wife, Malina of Muldrow, OK and Lance Phillips Hunter and wife, Jennifer of Muldrow, OK; three granddaughters: Brittney Hunter, Brooklyne Hunter and Lynnzie Hunter; one sister, Linda Ulmer of Akins community, OK; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
