Patricia (Kelly) Hammons

Pat, born in Commerce, Oklahoma was the youngest of 9 children. She moved to Macon, Georgia in 1959 where she raised her own family. She was a legal secretary for Frank Jones there for over 20 years and was very involved in the Legal Secretaries Association. She lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for several years and then remarried and moved to Sallisaw, Oklahoma in 1990.
She loved movies, music and books. She was never without her camera to remember special moments. She was always thoughtful and kind and made many friends wherever she lived but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was always doing something to make someone else feel loved – this was her special gift.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Vesta Kelly, and seven siblings. Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Bob Hammons; sister, Mary Copeland; daughters, Penny Ross (David), Carla Cleveland(Jack), and Lynne Philmon; step-daughters, Vicki Billings (Alex) and Miki Moore (Ed); 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Marie Speaker.
God is holding her hand now. It is her wish that no service be held and that she be remembered with happiness.
