Graveside Service for Pauline May (Robertson) Jones, 84, of Gore, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at White Chapel Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Pauline was born on February 14, 1940 to Addie (Young) Robertson and Dwight Robertson and raised on Chicken Creek in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 30, 2024 in Vian, Oklahoma. She married Lee Ray Mayes and had three children. He preceded her in death. Later in life she married Cleatis Jones and they pastored the Gum Springs Community Church. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2022. Pauline received her teaching degree from NSU and taught for many years. She loved being able to interact with the children. Pauline put all her faith in God and read her book daily. She prayed for every person she had ever met and said their name out loud. All she ever wanted was to see people succeed in life and to love God as much as herself.
Survivors are two sons, Mike Mayes of Gore, OK and Tim Mayes of Gore, OK; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lee Ray Mayes; second husband, Cleatis Jones; her daughter, Theresa Noisey; two brothers, Gerald and Johnny; and two sisters, Norma and Pat.
Active Pallbearers will be Shawn Mayes, Mike Mayes, Ethan Mayes, Dusty Mayes, Connor Mayes and Waylon Gilley.
Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
