Peggy (Wortheam) Edgmon

Funeral service for Peggy Edgmon, 84 of McKey Community, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on November 3, 1935 in Gans, OK to Faye Anglen Wortheam and Joe Wortheam and passed away on November 16, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Clyde Edgmon on May 3, 1954 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2015. Mrs. Edgmon was a granny at Eastside Elementary for over 20 years and attended McKey Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

1 daughter and son in law: Deborah and Mark Hood of Brushy Community, OK;

2 sons and 1 daughter in law: Craig Edgmon McKey, OK and Drew and Kelly Edgmon of Brushy Community, OK;

4 grandchildren: Anthony Hood, Lindsey Smith, Dustin Edgmon and Walker Hez Edgmon;

10 great grandchildren: Shaylee Choate, Kace Choate, Kinzlee Smith, Austin Edgmon, Daxton Edgmon, Brittney Coble, Brody Coble, Dakota Vincent, Gracin Marshall and Garin Marshall;

1 sister: Marilyn Toler of Cookson, OK;

2 brothers: Bob Wortheam of Sallisaw, OK and James Hicks of Muskogee, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Clyde Edgmon and 3 siblings

Active pallbearers will be Anthony Hood, Dustin Edgmon, Clark Rogers, Jimmy Adams, Josh Smith and Glenn Young.

Honorary pallbearer will be Artho Covington.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
