Funeral service for Perry Lee Kuykendall, Sr., 83, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Perry was born on October 1, 1937 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Herma Opal (Steeley) Kuykendall and Beauford Gordan Kuykendall and passed away on June 26, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Lahoma (Drake) Kuykendall on August 26, 1957 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2017. He worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers for over 36 years, retiring in 1994. He loved hunting, the outdoors, the Oklahoma Sooners and spending time with his grandchildren. Perry was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Survivors are:

2 sons: Perry Kuykendall, Jr. and wife Edna of Oklahoma City, OK and Jon Drake of Palm Springs, CA;

1 daughter: Karen Richards and husband William of Sallisaw, OK;

7 grandchildren: Chad Drake Kuykendall, Trent Garrett Kuykendall, Nena Kidd, Jason Fullbright, Drew Fullbright, Ryan Richards and Justin Richards;

4 great-grandchildren: Sutton, Sadie, Cooper, Mason and Russell;

4 sisters: Eloise Nelson of Coweta, OK, Doris O’hara of Orlando, FL, Sherry Gean of Sallisaw, OK and Shelly Kuykendall of Sallisaw, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Active Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
