Funeral Service for Phoebe Lou Pettit, 67, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at House of Praise in Marble City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Flute Springs Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on July 31, 1952 in Tahlequah, OK to Cynthia Rosin Pettit and William Pettit and passed away on December 29, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Joe Cheater. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Shannon and Roger Petree of Sallisaw, OK;

2 sons: Russell Cheater of Sallisaw, OK and Joe Cheater, Jr. of Sallisaw, OK;

7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren;

1 precious great-grandchild: Coyote Matthew Cheater;

4 sisters: Reba Rodgers of Marble City, OK, Cecelia Hardbarger of Marble City, OK, Winnie Pettit of Marble City, OK and Lois Vann of Sallisaw, OK;

2 brothers: Jack Pettit of Park Hill, OK and Gerald Pettit of Marble City, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Elsie Wade and Dolly Blackbird; and 1 brother, Deronie Pettit.

Active Pallbearers will be Dravin Cheater, Tylar Cheater, Abe Locust, Eddie Heckle Jr., Dwight Catron and .
Honorary Pallbearers will be Clint Holmes.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at House of Praise in Marble City, Oklahoma.
