Phyllis Jean (Vann) Owens

Funeral service for Phyllis Jean Owens, 78 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 13, 1942 in Short community, Oklahoma to Edna (Riddle) Vann and James Walker Vann and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to M.L. Owens on October 21, 1960 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Mrs. Owens was a phlebotomist and charter member of Short Baptist Church. She loved playing basketball and was known as an outstanding player for Muldrow High School

Survivors are:

husband of 60 years: M.L. of the home;

1 sister: Shirley Ann Peaslee and Kenneth of Sallisaw, OK;

1 brother: Lecho Wayne Vann and Robbie Nell of Muldrow, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Betty Prine and brother: James L. Vann.

Active Pallbearers will be David Butler, Bret Vann, Lynn Vann, Kevin Peaslee, Michael Owens and Kyle Henson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Marci Frost, Jayson Tippetts and Joe Owens.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
