Funeral Service for Polly Christie, 80, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Blunt Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Marble City Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 15, 1939 in Adair County, Oklahoma to Katie (Seabolt) Locust and Walker Locust and passed away on November 10, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to George Christie. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and of the Non-Denominational faith.

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Donna Pettit of Marble City, OK, Marilyn Smith of Vian, OK and Carol Thurairajah of Ft. Smith, AR

5 sons: Elvis Christie of Uniontown, AR, George Christie, Jr. of Sallisaw, OK, Billy Christie of Sallisaw, OK, Larry Christie of Sallisaw, OK and Gary Christie of Sallisaw, OK

22 grandchildren

2 sisters: Ruth Ann Blackbird of Vian, OK and Mary Noel of Sallisaw, OK

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers: Charlie Locust, George Locust, Jim Byrd and 2 sisters: Marie Noel and Louella Taylor.

Active Pallbearers will be Dwayne Byrd, Dion Byrd, Charles Cheater, Terry Cheater, Kevin Locust, John Blackbird and Billy Wayne Locust.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. The Wake will begin 10 AM Friday until service time at the home of Polly Christie.
