Raymond "Shorty" Keith

Raymond "Shorty" Keith, age 67, of Brushy, Oklahoma, passed away on February 20, 2025, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born on October 18, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Beatrice (Maddox) Keith and Sam Keith.

Raymond was united in marriage to Tawanna (Caughman) Keith on August 26, 1975, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. A devoted member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, he cherished his family, displaying love and support for his children and grandchildren. An enthusiastic sports fan, Raymond delighted in attending games and events for his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed leisurely time spent watching westerns, particularly The Andy Griffith Show, and he had a well-known sweet tooth.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Tawanna, of the home; daughters Brandi (Jason) Brooks and Kim Parish, both of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; son James (Martha) Keith of Sallisaw; mother, Beatrice (Maddox) Keith; as well as twelve grandchildren: Jalee, Lexi, Coy, Gracie, Katie, Aiden, Addison, Aaron, Kayla James, Tagun, and Willie. Additionally, he leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Dierks, and Aiden; two sisters, Rosalie (Terry) Spencer of Olive, Oklahoma, and Sami Mae (Terry Don) West of Henryetta, Oklahoma; one brother, William Ray Keith of Olive; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Keith; one grandson, Deegan; and one son-in-law, Michael Parish.

A graveside service for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Active pallbearers will include James Keith, Coy Brooks, Tanner Poindexter, Garren Meadows, Michael Berton, and Aiden Perano.

Viewing hours will be from 10 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, where the family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Raymond will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love and devotion to his family will live on in their hearts.
