Graveside Service for Raymond Pigeon, 82, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Bush Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 17, 1939 in Marble City, Oklahoma to Maude (Bush) Pigeon and Levi Pigeon and passed away on January 20, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Loretta Pigeon. Raymond worked for Kansas City Southern Railroad and was a member of Keetoowah Night Hawks. He was a sports enthusiast that enjoyed any kind of sports. He was a nature lover who enjoyed walking and observing the beauty of being outdoors. He was a beloved papaw who got so much joy out of spending time with this grandchildren. Raymond will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of sharing his life with him.

Survivors are:

wife, Loretta of the home;

2 daughters, Stacie Weaver and Mike of Sallisaw, OK and Michelle Pigeon and Marty Jones of Sallisaw, OK;

1 step-daughter, Erin Rapien of Sallisaw, OK;

3 step-sons, Kevin Smoke of Sallisaw, OK, Jason King of Sallisaw, OK and Clinton King and Tobie of Okmulgee, OK;

2 grandchildren, Tia Godfrey and Sarah Rapien and several other step-grandchildren;

1 brother, Levi Pigeon;

2 sisters, Wanda Byrd of Marble City, OK and Betty Horsechief of Dallas, TX;

and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bonnie Kirk; and three brothers, Squirrel Fields, Snow Fields and Charlie Fields.

Active Pallbearers will be LS Fields, Scott Horsechief, Vince Kirk, Wyman Kirk, Kevin Smoke and Colton Smoke.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paige Horsechief, Jeremy Mounce, Clinton King, Jason King, Joe Smith and Leroy Webber, Jr.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Saturday and 2 – 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Sunday.
