Rema Isham

Funeral Service for Rema Isham, 83, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Vian Assembly of God Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on July 13, 1937 in Vian, Oklahoma to Leona Mae (Crook) Isham and Louie Thomas Isham and passed away on February 8, 2021 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was a retired educator with Vian Public Schools, having taught for 33 years, starting with 6th grade and teaching 2nd grade for the majority of the years. She was a faithful member of Vian First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday School and was the Sunday School Secretary for many years. Rema loved singing, reading her Bible and doing word searches. Her true loves in this life were the Lord Jesus Christ, her family and her “children” both at school and at church.

Survivors are:

sister: Margaret Holt and Phillip of Vian, OK;

3 brothers: Louie Isham and Sue of Broken Arrow, OK, Henry Isham and Linda of Vian, OK and D.K. Isham and Rebekah of Vian, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded by parents; four sisters, Evanell Haynes, Louise Hicks, Amy Isham and Delea Isham; and one brother, Jim Isham.

Active Pallbearers will be David Isham, Joel Isham, Shane Holt, Isaac Isham, Doug Bethel and Kaleb Holt.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Crosslin, Bill Pack, Gwen Henshaw and Brenda Rouse.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
