Funeral Service for Pastor Rennie Ohl, 75 of Warner, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Church on the Word in Warner, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Gore Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on November 9, 1948 in Springfield, Illinois to Mary Elizabeth (Greenslate) Robinson and Rennie Everett Ohl.
There will never be another husband, father, papaw, friend and pastor like Rennie. Over his 75 years spent on earth, he experienced a diverse life and gained a vast knowledge in many areas. As a professional truck driver, he traveled many miles across the country driving over the road. While Iiving in Florida, he enjoyed his work of commercial diving and airplane mechanics. In 1980, after marrying Patty who was the love of his life, they moved to Mena, Arkansas. Rennie succeeded at sales in whatever he put his hand to including automobiles and real estate and earned top sales across a four state region. He owned and operated a poultry production farm where he became a top producer.
Most importantly was the call of God on his life to be a husband and a father which undeniably was what he was most passionate about. His beautiful wife, his 5 boys, and his wonderful grandchildren were his first calling. The second was his call to the ministry that God placed on his life. His willingness to serve as a minister of the gospel, which he did faithfully for almost 40 years, impacted the lives of us all. Rennie and his wife Patty of 43 and a half years surrendered to the call of God on their life in 1985 and began serving in the local church as Childrens’ and Youth Pastors at the First Assembly of God in Mena, Arkansas. In 1992 they moved to Tulsa, OK to attend Rhema Bible Training College where they graduated in 1995 and 1996 both being Licensed and Ordained with Kenneth Hagin Ministries. From there, God led them to Gore, Oklahoma and they became the Senior Pastors of Cornerstone Tabernacle. In 1999 Rennie and Patty took a giant step of faith, along with their family, and pioneered a new ministry at Church on the Word in Warner, Oklahoma where they have faithfully served the church and the community for 25 years as senior pastors. Beginning in 2013, he was greatly honored to serve as the Rhema Ministerial Association International director for Eastern Oklahoma from where he fulfilled the duties of serving other area ministers.
The passing of Rennie’s life occurred on December 1, 2023 surrounded by his wife and all his family as he passed on into glory. Undoubtedly a hero in all our lives but he was a “self proclaimed nobody, telling everybody about somebody who can save anybody.” Thank you Pastor Rennie for giving to the Lord, there will never be another man like you.
