Rhonda Sue (Brock) Ballinger

Rhonda Sue (Brock) Ballinger, 66, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, entered Heavens gates, Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born February 13, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Cal and Emma Sue (Amos) Brock. She grew up and attended Claremore Public Schools and graduated in 1976. Rhonda attended college at Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Education. She taught Math for 35 years, most of that time being at Tommie Spear Middle School in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. In retirement she taught at the Sallisaw Adult Education Center. 

Rhonda’s passion was being present for all her family and friends. She would travel hours to support her loved ones. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake for her family and friends. 

Rhonda always attended church and taught her girls that God was the main priority. She was also her son-in-law’s biggest fan. Her life was complete when her three granddaughters were born. They gave her so much love and joy.

At the end of Rhonda’s life, she had many caregivers and she was extremely grateful for each and every one of them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cal Brock; and her grandparents, Marvin and Vinnie Amos and John and Anna Brock. 

Rhonda is survived by her children, Tara Ballinger and friend, Cole Hyde, of Sallisaw, OK and Brooke Thompson and husband, Jeremy, of Sallisaw, OK; three granddaughters, Gracie, Callie and Sadie Thompson of Sallisaw, OK; mother, Emma Sue Brock of Sallisaw, OK; two brothers, Rick Brock of Sallisaw, OK and Jerry Brock and wife, Traci, of Sallisaw, OK; one sister, Betty Ann Demaree and husband, Tony, of Sallisaw, OK; along with her precious nieces and nephews and numerous family members and friends who will miss her dearly. 

A memorial service for Rhonda will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at United Faith Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
