He was born on July 18, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Doris Mae (Quinn) Labs and Melvin August Labs. He was married to Sara Jeanette (Woods) Labs on May 8, 1965 in Westminster, LA. He was a carpenter and a
U.S. Navy Veteran .
