Rick Pendergrass

Funeral Service for Rick Pendergrass, 71, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on June 27, 1953 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Wilma (Henson) Pendergrass and Charles Pendergrass and passed away on September 21, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Virginia (Peters) Pendergrass on January 20, 1989. Rick was a rural letter carrier and retired from the Muldrow Post Office after 31 years. He was a member of Bruton Lodge #30 for 38 years and a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, and hang out at Rick's Tire with all his buddies.

Survivors are wife, Virginia of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Perrier and Matt of Broken Arrow, OK; one son, Chad Pratt and Megan of Muldrow, OK; three grandchildren, Karsyn Gann, Madison Perrier and Braiden Pratt; two sisters, Carlene Brunk of Van Buren, AR and Marlene Matlock and Paul of Roland, OK; two nieces, three nephews, and a host of cousins, friends and church family.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother-in-law.

Active Pallbearers will be Rick Turpin, Tony Floyd, David Brown, David Taylor, Larry Dyer, Ron Lockhart, Jeremy Armstrong and Bob Anglen. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Fuller, Ronnie (his OU Softball Buddy) Vest, Bruton Lodge #30 and the Eastside Freewill Baptist "OP" Senior Adult Sunday School Class. 

Viewing will be 10 AM - 2 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow and 3 - 8 PM at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, Rick's wishes were that donations be made to Eastside Freewill Baptist Youth Department, P.O. Box 383, Muldrow, OK 74948 or Bruton Lodge #30, P.O. Box 2093, Muldrow, OK 74948.
