Ricky L. Jones

Ricky L. Jones, age 68, of Sallisaw Oklahoma, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on February 4, 1956, in Sallisaw he was the beloved son of Helen (Long) Plank and Herbert Jones.

Ricky was a proud graduate of Sallisaw High School, class of 1974, and dedicated 35 years of his professional life to Whirlpool. His work ethic and commitment to his job were traits he was known for and respected by his colleagues.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ricky enjoyed the thrill of rodeo, embraced the joy of cultivating plants and flowers, and had a love for travel that allowed him to experience new places and cultures.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Helen Plank, who resides at the home; three sisters, Angela Andrews and her husband Stephen of Muldrow, OK, Terri Byrom of Sallisaw, OK, and Lisa Basore of Skiatook, OK; one brother, Ron Jones, and his partner, Kym Peterson, of Gans, OK; one uncle, Junior (Peanut) Long;  as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends who deeply cherished him. He also leaves behind his loyal dog, Blue.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Jones; and his grandparents, Arthur and Cora Long and Walter and Goldie Jones.
