Funeral service for Robert Akin, 84 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Redland Cemetery in Redland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 17, 1938 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Ruby Mae (Fourth) Akin and James William Akin and passed away on August 4, 2022 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was married to Patsy Akin on March 20, 1956 in Poplar, California. Mr. Akin was a truck driver for Whirlpool.

Survivors are:

wife, Patsy of the home;

2 daughters, Charlotte Yvonne Akin and Paul of Blue Mountain, AR and Della Koenig and Doug of Fort Smith, AR;

2 sons, Robert “Robby” Akin, Jr. of Anderson, MO and Wincell Akin and Lisa of Muldrow, OK;

a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;

1 brother, Billy Wayne Akin;

1 sister, Rita Sue Mayo;

and many nieces, nephews, other beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Virginia, Normie and Louise; one daughter-in-law, Jill Akin; and four sons-in-law, Joseph Grooms, Scott Heifner, Larry Springwater and Monty Dean.

Active Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Monday and 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Tuesday.
