Robert Charles Lattimore

December 26, 1952 — August 31, 2024

Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Robert loved many and was loved by many and always put a smile on everyone's face. On Friday night, as he sat on his couch in his earthly home, he went to sleep and made his peaceful journey to his home in Heaven. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a loving Husband, Dad, Pa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend.

Robert was born on December 26, 1952 in Marysville, California to Roma Kathryn (Strickland) Lattimore and Billy Charles Lattimore. He attended school in Marysville through 10th grade and then his family moved to Miller Ridge, Oklahoma, where he finished school as a 1971 graduate of Central High School. He worked summers at the saw mill in California with his Dad where he raised enough money to buy his 1965 Mustang when he got to Oklahoma. After high school, he attended one semester at Connors State College and after that he worked at a Fort Smith furniture factory and Whirlpool.

On May 30, 1972, he married Ima Lou (Henry) Lattimore in Sherman, Texas. They made their home in Sallisaw and were married 52 years and 3 months when he made his heavenly journey.

Robert went to work in 1972 at Universal Packaging Company which later changed to Graphic Packaging. He retired from there in January 2015.

Robert was well known for his duck hunting. He loved fishing, gardening, going to yard sales and flea markets, decorating his man cave, camping and family gatherings. He was always happy and loved to joke and keep everyone laughing.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ima Lou of the home; two daughters, Alisa Lattimore and Tony Hill of Miller Ridge, OK and Amy Lattimore-Blalock and Jason of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Blake Lattimore and Nichole of Sallisaw, OK; five grandchildren, Jake Taff, Mason Blalock, Olivia Blalock, Mazie McMullen and Kiera Eppler; one great-granddaughter, Emily Taff; two sisters, Teresa Catsavis of Miller Ridge, OK and Connie Olcott and Grant of Miller Ridge, OK; one brother, Gary Don Lattimore and Paige of Akins, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
