Roger Johnson, 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 2, 1954, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Lavern (Horn) Johnson and Earl Johnson.
Roger graduated from Vian High School in 1972, where he was the Salutatorian of his class. He had a career as a radiologist, retiring from Holt Krock Clinic and River Valley Orthopedics. Roger enjoyed motorcycle riding and was particularly fond of sport bikes.
He was married to Cydney Jill Johnson on December 31, 1996, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Cydney preceded him in death on August 25, 2018.
Survivors include his son, Gabriel Johnson and Robi of Tahlequah, OK; two daughters, Hilary Johnson of Fort Smith, AR, and Blakely Johnson of Denton, TX; five grandchildren, Cade, Lexton, Knox, Dawsen, and Sophia; a brother, Tim Johnson and Mary of Jenks, OK; and a sister, Brenda Rouse and Louie of Fort Gibson, OK. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
An informal funeral service for Roger will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with burial following at Box Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Active Pallbearers will be Lexton Johnson, Knox Johnson, Dawsen Godfrey, Brant Rouse, Chris Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, Ian McLemore, and Brian Dougan.
Roger will be remembered by those who knew him.
