Funeral Service for Ross Alan Bottorff, 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Ross Alan Bottorff passed away peacefully at home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, on June 21, 2021. Ross was born on April 9, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Elsie Marie (Ingle) Bottorff and Harry N. Bottorff. He married Anne Eileen (Riley) Bottorff on August 14, 1966 in Hedrick, Iowa. After graduating from Ottumwa High School in 1964 he served in the U.S. Army before getting involved with computers in 1969. In 1979 he realized his boyhood dream and bought a small hardware store in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Over the years he grew the small store into a successful Ace Hardware, and pursued several other entrepreneurial ventures before officially retiring in 2002.

Survivors are:

wife: Anne Bottorff of the home;

daughter: Jennifer Basford and partner Nancy Nardi of Edmond, OK;

3 grandchildren: Riley, Reagan and Reese Basford of Edmond, OK;

2 brothers: Rex Bottorff and Janis of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Ron Bottorff and Dee of Chesterfield, OH;

as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elsie Bottorff and his older sister, Nancy Stout.

Viewing and Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Friday.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests donations be made in Ross’ name to the Sallisaw First United Methodist Church or Habitat for Humanity.
