Services for Rufus Joseph Massa, 66 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on March 12, 1952 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Plenny Maxine (Aikins) Massa and Elmer Massa and passed away on May 23, 2018 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Carolyn (Martin) Massa on August 18, 1982 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He worked at Whirlpool and was a Baptist.

1 son and daughter in law: Jimmy and Laura Massa of Greenwood, AR

2 step sons: James Mclinn of Muldrow, OK and Tommy Simpson of Sallisaw, OK

2 daughters: Polly Simpson of Sallisaw, OK and Melissa Evans of Muldrow, OK

4 grandchildren: Christian, Damien, Tommy and Daniel

6 great grandchildren

1 sister: Eda Donihoo of Mustang, OK

numerous other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Maxine Massa; 1 brother, Frank Giboney; and 1 grandchild, Michael Evans

Active Pallbearers will be Christian Massa, Joe Ledford, Brandon Ledford, James Giboney,
J.J. Giboney and Ronnie Martin.

Viewing will be Saturday 10 am – 8 pm, Sunday 2 – 8 pm and Monday noon – 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet Saturday from 5 – 7 pm.
