Funeral service for Russell Dennis Rhodes, 72 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 20, 1948 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Dorothy Ailene (Beller) Rhodes and William Russell Rhodes and passed away on November 14, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was married to Connie June (Lowrimore) Rhodes on February 3, 1972 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Mr. Rhodes was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a Seabee and retired materials handler supervisor for the Strategic National Stockpile.

Survivors are:

wife: Connie Rhodes of the home;

2 daughters: Tanya Dotson and Jason of Sallisaw, OK and Shawna Rhodes of Sallisaw, OK;

1 son: Russ Rhodes of New Orleans, LA;

2 granddaughters: Marlee Thornburg and Jensyn Rhodes;

3 grandsons: Jaden Pruitt, Jacob Testerman and Jace Dotson;

1 great grandchild: Creeden O’Neal;

mother: Dorothy Rhodes of Muldrow, OK;

1 brother: Geary Rhodes of Redland, OK;

other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Bailey Rhodes, his father: Russell Rhodes and 2 brothers: Eddie and David Rhodes.

Active Pallbearers will be Eddie Edwards, Howard Edwards, Lyndon Emberton, Jason Dotson, Travis Pruitt and Jeff Thornburg.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Marlee Thornburg, Jensyn Rhodes, Jaden Pruitt, Jacob Testerman, Jace Dotson and Creeden O’Neal.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
