Services for Ruth Soap Sevenstar, 78 of Belfonte, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Belfonte Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on March 17, 1941 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Lila Daugherty Soap and John E. Soap and passed away on June 28, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She married Billy Jr. Sevenstar on March 15, 1960 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Mrs. Sevenstar was a janitor at Muldrow Elementary School, a homemaker and a Cherokee gospel singer.

Survivors are:

Husband: Billy Jr. of the home;

3 daughters: Jackie Sevenstar of Muldrow, OK, Margaret Bird of Belfonte, OK and Lisa Sevenstar of Long, OK;

2 sons: Junior “Lee” Sevenstar of Bell, OK and Bobby Sevenstar of Sallisaw, OK;

12 grandchildren: Isaac Sevenstar, Crystal Bird, Robin Bird, Connor Bird, Megan Pratt, Jerome Sevenstar, Lula Sevenstar, Victor Sevenstar, Brandon Teehee, Tyrone Sevenstar, Bobbie Sue Nofire and Jodi Nofire;

28 great grandchildren;

4 sisters: Evelyn Bush, Odie Dick, Maggie Miller and Lillian Denny, all of Nicut community, OK;

2 brothers: Levi Eagle of Stilwell, OK and John Lee Soap of Nicut community, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill, her parents and 2 brothers

Active pallbearers will be Connor Bird, Jerome Sevenstar, Isaac Sevenstar, Bill Soap, Lee Eagle and Chad Pratt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Sevenstar, Larry Bird, Randy Bird, Ken Sturm, Randy Eagle, Tyler Hodges and Junior “Lee” Sevenstar.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Friday, 10 am – 8 pm Saturday, 2 – 8 pm Sunday and 10 am – 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
