Sarah Ann (Locust) Kirkland

Funeral Service for Sarah Ann (Locust) Kirkland, 73 of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Barnoski Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on August 20, 1948 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Nancy (Beaver) Locust and Joe Locust and passed away on February 8, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Kirkland was a general laborer and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

2 daughters, Katrina Kirkland of Tulsa, OK and Celesta Osceola of Clewiston, FL;

1 son, Rylan Kirkland and Jamie of Catoosa, OK;

8 grandchildren, Ryan, Quenton, Sarah, Marc, Ivy, Sierra, Katesa and Aubrey;

6 great-grandchildren;

3 sisters, Lillian Hall of Corpus Christie, TX, Rose Kelly of Evening Shade, OK and Marie Taulbee of Oklahoma City, OK;

2 brothers, Rider Dirtseller of Sisseton, S.D. and John Dirtseller of Tulsa, OK;

and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Daniel Locust, Richard Dirtseller and Ed Vann; one sister, Barbara Locust.

Active Pallbearers will be Jeff Wacoche, Scott Thompson, Oliver Black, Quontez Jim, Heath Bailey and Chris Locust.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Been, Hershel Clark, II, Chris Davis, Michael Brown, Chris Gomez, Quention Jim, Quontrael Cleveland, Isom Hill and Danny Kemp.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
