Funeral Service for Seigal Edward Rogers, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 9:00 AM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at U.S. National Cemetery at 10:00 AM in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on October 1, 1930 in Gans, Oklahoma to Beulah (Stimson) Rogers and Ollie Eugene Rogers and passed away on January 14, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to JoAnn (Dowling) Rogers on July 8, 1969 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a retired educator at Spradling Elementary School in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

wife: JoAnn of the home;

son: Brian Rogers of Ft. Smith, AR;

step-daughter: Janice Jaco and Clint of Fayetteville, AR;

7 grandchildren: Tyler, Brianna, Taelor, Trevor, Jennifer, Robert and Nick;

2 great-grandchildren: Aubry and Becca;

2 sisters: Diane Robertson and Shelba McClure both of Sallisaw, OK;

3 brothers: Buddy Rogers of Sallisaw, OK, Billy Rogers of Muldrow, OK and Stimson Rogers of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wynona Wright, Mayme Rogers and Wanda Rogers; and one brother, Jimmy Dale Rogers, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Rogers, Trevor Rogers, Jimmy Dale Rogers, Darrel Rogers, David Lee Wright and John Mays.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
