Sheila Ann (Benson) Cheney

Memorial Service for Sheila Ann Cheney, 77, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on October 1, 1943 in Rockford, Illinois to Wanda (Gierwiatoski) Benson and Homer Benson and passed away on January 18, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Ron Cheney on January 17, 1970 in Rockford, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2019. Sheila took great pleasure in reading, crafting, socializing with her friends and spending time with her family. She enjoyed attending church services and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Dawn Norman and Lee of Mesa, AZ and Tammy Cary and Mike of Darien, WI;

2 sons: James Cheney and Cassandra of Spiro, OK and Keith Cheney and Janie of Sallisaw, OK;

several grandchildren and great-grandchildren;

several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son, Randy Cox.

Visitation will be 4 – 6 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
