Funeral service for Sherrell Wilbur Mosby, 84 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 23, 1937 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Dorothy Alma (Ball) Mosby and Joseph Wilbur Mosby and passed away on November 3, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Opal Alpha (Mattingly) Mosby on January 6, 1960 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2020. Mr. Mosby was a mechanic, maintenance supervisor for Oklahoma Parks Department at Brushy Lake State Park and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors are:

Sons: Calvin Mosby of Sallisaw, OK and Paul Mosby and Linda of Sallisaw, OK;

Daughter: Cheryl Adele and Danny Wann of Sallisaw, OK;

8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchild;

Sister: Frances;

Other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; 2 sons, Joseph “J.W.” Mosby and Ronald Mosby; 1 daughter, Twanna Stephens; parents; 2 sisters: Florence Sue Stevens and Alma Wilcox and 4 brothers: Richard, Earl, Joe and Marvin Mosby.

Active Pallbearers will be Calvin Mosby, Steve Mosby, Dean Mosby, Brad Mosby, Aaron Mosby and Erroll Stevens.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Mosby, Chris Mosby, Seth Wiley and William Wiley.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
