Sherry Jeremiah, age 64, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was born on February 1, 1960, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Wilma Louise (Holt) Smith and Leroy.
Sherry's life was marked by her dedication to family and her role in the community. She retired from Fort Smith Public Schools, as a custodian, leaving a legacy of hard work and commitment. She was active in her faith, attending Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, where she found joy and fellowship among her church community.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Jeremiah, of their home; sisters, Deanna Jones and Eddie, of Liberty, OK and Louise Lasiter and Clayton of Muldrow, OK; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, including Jerad Lasiter, Jeremy Newton, Kasi Newton, Scott Winstead, Shawn Rogers, and Emily Werner. Additionally, she cherished her great-nephews, Elias Olmstead, Jacob Lasiter, Dakota Lasiter, Grey Werner, and Wells Werner; along with great-nieces, Randa Winstead and Raelea Winstead.
Sherry also leaves behind her uncles, Kenneth Holt and Buster Smith, both of Sallisaw, OK; aunts, Georgia Robison of Roland, OK, and Hazel Long of Sallisaw, OK; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Jeremiah of Roland, OK; and sister-in-law, Donna Winstead and Randy, of Muldrow, OK, and brother-in-law, David Jeremiah and Kathy, of Roland, OK. She is deeply missed by numerous other relatives and friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Sherry will be held on December 13, 2024, from 10 AM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK, where the family invites friends and loved ones to gather from 6 PM to 8 PM to share their condolences and memories. A funeral service will take place on December 14, 2024, at 2 PM at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Roland, OK, followed by burial at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow, OK, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Lunch will be served at Cornerstone Baptist Church at noon before the service.
In celebrating her life, we remember Sherry’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
