Shirley Ann (Jones) Garwood

Funeral Service for Shirley Ann (Jones) Garwood, 84, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on May 10, 1937 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Emma Lena (Wolfe) Jones and Emmett Virgil Jones and passed away on January 25, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Garwood grew up in the Paw Paw Bottoms and Lee’s Chapel area, South of Muldrow, and was a 1955 graduate of Muldrow High School. She retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 33 years of dedicated service.

Survivors are:

3 sons, Rick Sharp of Oklahoma City, OK, Mike Sharp of Sallisaw, OK and Ronnie Sharp of Muldrow, OK;

2 brothers, Hobart “Hobie” Jones and his wife, Jan, of Sallisaw, OK and Donnie Jones and wife, Sheila, of Roland, OK;

1 sister, Jeanice Blythe and her husband, Ross, of Fort Smith, AR;

5 grandsons, Chris Sharp, Craig Sharp, Dalton Sharp, Jarrett Sharp and Andrew Minks;

1 granddaughter, Keli Don Isbell;

7 great-grandchildren;

A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Paulene Woolridge; three brothers, Eudean, Jake and LeRoy; and daughter-in-law, Dana Sharp.

Active Pallbearers will be Chris Sharp, Craig Sharp, Dalton Sharp, Jarrett Sharp, Keli Don Isbell and Mark McGeehee.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
