Stan Philpot

Graveside Service for Stan Philpot, 69 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. A dinner and celebration of life will be held at Brushy Lake Pavilion immediately following graveside service.

He was born on May 25, 1954 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Martha (Dyer) Philpot and Norman Philpot and passed away on August 9, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Renee (Bese) Philpot on March 10, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Philpot was a park ranger, Sequoyah County Sheriff deputy and a patrolman for the City of Sallisaw.

Survivors are wife, Renee of the home; two daughters, Teresa Poindexter and Paul of Sallisaw, OK and Britney Philpot of Sallisaw, OK; two sons, Chris Mosby and Rose of Sallisaw, OK and Bubba Philpot and Suzette of Roland, OK; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Norm Philpot of Sallisaw, OK and Jenny Martin of Florida; four brothers, Gary Philpot of Sallisaw, OK, Johnny Philpot of Sallisaw, OK, Jerry Paul Brown of California and Bill Philpot of Spiro, OK; and several nieces nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Brenda Philpot; and one son, Stanley Earl “Tuffy” Philpot.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Friday and 10 am – 6 pm Saturday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm Saturday.
