Steven Hunter Reaves

Funeral Service for Hunter Reaves, 22, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Fields Cemetery in Porum, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Steven Hunter Reaves was born on February 8, 1999 in Muskogee, OK and entered the kingdom of heaven on April 16, 2021.

Survivors include his loving wife, Celeste of the home; parents, Steven and Brandy Reaves of Vian, OK; bonus parents, Alex and Paula Powell along with his sidekick, Stefanie Powell of Webbers Falls, OK. Grandparents, Mark and Debbie West of Warner, OK; Ken and Shelly Endicott of Ada, OK; Robyn Rodgers of Gore, OK; Great Grandparents, Sidney and Dorothy Powell of Webbers Falls, OK; siblings, Taylor, Matthew and Elijah of Vian, OK. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvan and Lois Reaves and one aunt, Darlene Brown.

Hunter was a hard working man that would do anything for his family including giving them the shirt off of his back.

When not at home, Hunter was a Teller at Vian Armstrong Bank pestering his work family and helping customers.

In his free time you could find him playing on his PC, going fishing with family and hanging out with his Steffy Faye, and Charlie the Beagle.

He was known for his never ending “dad jokes,” making people laugh, his collection of Coca Cola antiques and always coming up with new hobbies or ideas.

If you saw him driving around in his truck he was most likely on an adventure with his wife listening to Reba McEntire, George Strait, Dolly Parton and The Judds.

Hunter had a passion for helping people and being a fire fighter. At the age of eighteen he joined the Vian Fire Department and was there until the age of 21. From there on he was a part of the Blackgum Fire Department.

Everyone who met Hunter will remember his contagious smile, larger than life personality and his ability to never meet a stranger. He will be remembered by the impact he had on others and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Active Pallbearers will be Alex Powell, Jared Johnson, Evan Roberts, Nathan Reaves, TC Price and Justin Roberts.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Blackgum Fire Department and the Vian Fire Department.

Visitation will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
