Funeral Service for Steven “Pooney” Locust, 50 of Marble City, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Flute Springs Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on June 27, 1971 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Carilyn (Chuculate) Locust and George Locust, Sr. and passed away on November 7, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Locust was a farmer and rancher

Survivors are:

Daughter, Raychel Girty of Vian, OK;

Sons: Steven “Buggar” Locust of Marble City, OK and Skyler “Spook” Locust of Tahlequah, OK;

6 grandchildren;

Mother: Carilyn Locust of Marble City, OK;

Sister: Alicia Farris of Marble City, OK;

Brothers: George “Chub” Locust of Brushy, OK, Bobby “Tuffy” Locust of Pocola, OK, Anthony Locust of Marble City, OK and Kevin Locust of Marble City, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Brandy Renee Killer, his father, George and his grandparents.

Active Pallbearers will be Frankie Noel, Watie Chuculate, John Bolin, Jason Drain, John Pettit, Greg McCoy, Calvin Christie and Buster Drain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Christie, Heath Rouell, Cody Rouell, Bobby Taylor, Gary Jo Christie, Cody Casteel, Dakota Casteel, Walker Locust and Jess Locust.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday and 10 am – 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
