Sylvia Ann (Noley) Carver

Funeral Service for Sylvia Ann Carver, 75, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Cookson Baptist Church in Cookson, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on November 12, 1947 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Anna May (Carney) Noley and Grayson Noley and passed away on September 15, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Jim Carver on May 23, 1970 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Sylvia survived 31 years following a bone marrow transplant for Multiple Myeloma in 1992 before the cancer returned. She was an amazing mother, “Domestic Goddess,” school teacher and an active member of Cookson Baptist Church in Cookson, Oklahoma.

Survivors are husband, Jim D. Carver of the home; two sons, Timothy Alan Carver and Lori of Tulsa, OK and Keith Grayson Carver and Carmen of Bentonville, AR; one daughter, Jamie Christine Carver and Anthony of Bothell, WA; one brother, Grayson Noley and Sharon of Norman, OK; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Braden, Emily, Alice, Hayden, Grayson, Peyton and Taylor; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Lamont, Jerry, Marvin and Homer.

Active Pallbearers will be Tim, Keith, Earl, Braden, Grayson, Hayden, Peyton and Anthony.

Viewing will be 1:00 PM Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fred Hutch Cancer Center or a cancer charity of your choice.
