Sylvia Lou (Ford) Stephens

Funeral Service for Sylvia Lou Stephens, 76, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on February 16, 1944 in Marble City, Oklahoma to Clara Elizabeth (Perry) Ford and William Emerson Ford and passed away on October 9, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Curtis Dale Stephens on June 16, 1962 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was a 1962 graduate of Sallisaw High School. She was formerly the Receiving Manager for Walmart and a homemaker. Sylvia started the nursery at First Assembly of God Church and continued for the next 40 years.

Survivors are:

husband of 58 years: Curtis of the home;

2 daughters: Lee Ann Parks and Tim of Vian, OK and Kimberly Spears and Larry of Vian, OK;

1 son: Kurt Wade Stephens and Julia of Coweta, OK;

10 grandchildren: Jonathan Parks and Mattie Parks, Ashton Darcy and Keith, Shane Spears, Joslynn Lawler, Chaselynn Stephens, McKaylynn Stephens, Chad Oxley, Kyler Oxley and Noah Oxley;

3 great-grandchildren: Kloe Darcy, Halle Darcy and Rosie Darcy;

3 sisters: Eldee Miller and Freeman of Springfield, MO, Bernice Wilkins of Sallisaw, OK and Sue Suttle and Robert of Sallisaw, OK;

3 brothers: Bill Ford and Linda of Sallisaw, OK, Clifton Ford and Gloria of Dothan, AL and Johnnie Ford of Tulsa, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, E.B., Wyatt, and Ronnie Ford; and her sister, Betty Sanders.

Active Pallbearers will be Tim Parks, Jonathan Parks, Keith Darcy, Larry Spears, Shane Spears and Brian Ford.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ty Stephens, Derrick Stephens and Steve Stephens.

Viewing and Visitation 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
