Funeral Service for Talitha "Dale" (Bethel) Daily, 94, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on February 28, 1930 in Gans, Oklahoma to Beulah Lea (Pemberton) Bethel and Louie Lawton Bethel and passed away on April 4, 2024 in Inola, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of three daughters. She was married to Dick M. Daily on November 24, 1948 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Together they raised two sons in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after which she was delighted to move back to home town in Redland, Oklahoma. She adored the Muldrow area. The family suffered the loss of Dick on April 19, 2005. Mrs. Daily was a homemaker, an avid cook, bookkeeper, and faithful member of Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was instrumental in moving the church to its new location. Dale loved giving back and was a passionate member of her community and school district. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 75 years. She was a proud and active citizen of the Cherokee Nation who found joy in boating, fishing and other hobbies including being a champion archer and pilot. Dale loved the holidays, especially because she could whip up anything in the kitchen, including her famous salmon croquettes, biscuits and gravy, pies, and peanut butter fudge. She was also known for getting dressed to the nines even when helping a friend clean out the attic.
Survivors are:
Two sons, Larry Madison Daily and Kathy of Inola, OK and Lawton "Kenny" Daily and Kathy of Tulsa, OK;
Five grandchildren, Scott Daily, Kelli Kappes and Nick, Erin Hart and Brandon, Clark Daily and Breah, and Clayton Daily and Lauren;
Ten great-grandchildren, Lakota, Talen, Haiyzli, Kiefer, Mackenzie, Emily, Georgia, Boston, Evelyn and Pearl;
and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sisters, Naomi Ruth Shedrow and Anna Shackelford.
Active Pallbearers will be Ken Daily, Clark Daily, Clayton Daily, Brandon Hart, Larry Daily and Scott Daily.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Sawyer, Talen Daily, Nick Kappes, Kiefer Kappes, Randy Shackelford, Stan Flenor, Madison Daily and Mark Magnani.
Visitation will be 1 - 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
