Services for Tess Gill, 83 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Pocola, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on December 11, 1935 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Edna Jane Gipson Coker and Hugh Wesley Coker and passed away on February 16, 2019 in Pocola, Oklahoma. Sister Tess began preaching in 1963 and was an ordained minister of the Pentecostal faith. She retired after nearly 23 years at Hutchison Shoes/Walmart. Her real passion and true life’s work was serving the Lord and His church. She worked in various jobs within the church throughout her whole life..

Survivors are:

daughter: Deborah Plunkett and husband John of Greenwood, AR;

son: Theron Gill and wife Susan of Pocola, OK;

5 grandchildren: Audria Bobbitt and husband, Aaron of Jenks, OK, Stuart Reed and wife Amber of Greenwood, AR, Felicia Plunkett and Paul Frazier of Little Rock, AR, Seth Gill of Pocola, OK, Tori Lewis and husband Daniel of Van Buren, AR;

3 great grandchildren: Rebekah Reed of Greenwood, AR, Hailey and Emma Bobbitt of Jenks, OK;

3 sisters: Virginia McNulty of Tulsa, OK, Peggy Louviere and husband David of Calera, OK, Maudie Martin and husband Jimmy of Norman, OK;

1 brother: Frank Coker and wife Susan of Troy IL;

several nieces, nephews, her church family at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Active pallbearers will be John Plunkett, Stuart Reed, Seth Gill, Aaron Bobbitt, Daniel Lewis and Paul Fraizer.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Manning .

Viewing will be noon – 8 pm Tuesday, 10 am – 8 pm Wednesday at Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Wednesday.
