Funeral Service for Thelma “Neve” Asbill, 88, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 17, 1934 in Brushy Community, Oklahoma to Bertie Bessie (Brewer) McKinney and William Silas McKinney and passed away on November 23, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Kenneth Asbill on January 2, 1959 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1997. She was a Granny at Liberty Elementary School and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors are one sister, Geraldine and Earl Latimer of Wagoner, OK; one nephew, Larry Gowen and Lynn of Sallisaw, OK; one great-niece, Tosha and Norman Eastman of Galena, MO; two great-nephews, James Gowen and Daniel and Candy Gowen; and several great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Asbill; parents, Silas and Bessie McKinney; and one great-nephew, Josh Gowen.

Active Pallbearers will be James Gowen, Daniel Gowen, Caleb Gowen, Jamie Fargo, Archie Risenhoover and Matthew Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charley Ray Woody, Gerald McKinney, Dwight Davis, Jeremy Davis, Ty Gowen and Dakoda Gowen.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 PM Monday and 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Tuesday.
