Theodore 'Bird Man' Castleberry, Sr.

Funeral Service for Theodore “Bird Man” Castleberry, Sr., 75, of Yukon, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Moffett Public School Gymnasium in Moffett, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 10, 1947 in Moffett, Oklahoma to Fan Dee Edna (Taylor) and Sam Houston Castleberry and passed away on December 12, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was married to Doris Ann “Bunchie” Castleberry on June 13, 1968 in Moffett, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2017. He was a truck driver and a United States Army Veteran.

Survivors are seven sons, Theodore Castleberry, Jr. and Shawndala of Corpus Christi, TX, Rodney Castleberry of Oklahoma City, OK, Brian Castleberry of Yukon, OK, Joel Castleberry of Moore, OK, Iran Castleberry of Yukon, OK, Cedric Castleberry of Yukon, OK and Irwin Castleberry and Venus of Bethany, OK; two daughters, Demitra Castleberry of Conyers, GA and Lashonna Padilla and Anthony of Killeen, TX; 13 grandchildren, Auriana Laney, Alaisha Castleberry, Emily Dary, Shamiah Castleberry, Shanice Dockins, Elijah Castleberry, Aliyah Padilla, Alyssa Luke, Arik Luke, Alijah Peters, Alexis Reyes, Desiree Boodoosingh and Javonte Padilla; four great-grandchildren, Quentez, Milo, Kade and Joraya; three brothers, Monroe Castleberry, Albert Castleberry and Jimmy Castleberry, all of Roland, OK;
two sisters, Edna Mae Owens of Moffett, OK and Shirley Castleberry of Roland, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Juanita and Anita Castleberry; his parents; two brothers, Floyd Castleberry and Sam Castleberry; and one sister, Dora Castleberry.

Active Pallbearers will be Theodore Castleberry, Jr., Rodney Castleberry, Brian Castleberry, Joel Castleberry, Iran Castleberry, Cedric Castleberry, Irwin Castleberry, Willie Coleman, Jr., Montrell Castleberry and James Castleberry.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK.
