Tom Mitchell

Memorial Service for Tom Mitchell, 81, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 28, 1941 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Iva Clarious (Edwards) Mitchell and Alonzo Nathan Mitchell and passed away on January 17, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Carol (Scott) Mitchell. Tom was a registered nurse, a member of the United States Army Reserves and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, OK.

Survivors are wife, Carol of the home; two daughters, Cindy Hill and Jason of Wister, OK and Chris Harrod and David of Van Buren, AR; nine grandchildren, Zachary Hill, Summer Lepley, Reuben Hill, Caleb Hill, Gretta Camargo, Amy Pearcy, Seth Hill, Jessica Cloud and Ryan Magie; eight great-grandchildren and two on the way; one sister, Clarious Sue and Jerry Mizell of Lincoln, AR; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Emma Jo Mitchell-Taylor and Betty Ruth Mitchell-Embry; and two brothers, Clarence Drew Mitchell and Lonnie Mitchell, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Winton, David Harrod, Jason Hill, Craig Heflebower and Jerry Mizzell.
