Vala Christene 'Chris' (Allen) Fletcher

Funeral Service for Vala Christene “Chris” (Allen) Fletcher, 81, of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 8, 1942 in Liberty, Oklahoma to Marjoria Christene (Brooks) Allen and Dayton Hughes Allen and passed away on July 15, 2023 at home in Roland, Oklahoma. She was married to Allen Andrew Fletcher on May 17, 1958 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Chris was a beautiful woman that had a friendly smile and loved everyone. No one was a stranger to her. She was a good mother, wife and friend. She will be greatly missed. Chris had many talents. She was a homemaker, seamstress and baker. Chris is now at Home with God in Heaven and at peace.

Survivors are husband, Allen of the home; two daughters, Debbie Civis and John of Amarillo, TX and Laura Jetton and Billy of Roland, OK; one son, Mark Fletcher of Poteau, OK; two granddaughters, Crystal Jetton and Delana Fletcher; four grandsons, Paul Jetton, Michael Civis, Teddy Fletcher and Randall Fletcher; one great-granddaughter, Talye Jetton; one sister, Anna Lou Wilson; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Hughes Fletcher; parents; and one brother, Jetton Wesley Allen.

Pallbearers will be John Civis, Paul Jetton, Michael Civis, Teddy Fletcher, Randall Fletcher, Billy Jetton and Mark Fletcher.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
