Funeral service for Vernon Eric Taylor, 57 of Terlton, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brent Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 17, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Linda Sue (Hurley) Headrick and Vernon Ellis Taylor and passed away on February 27, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Melissa “Missy” (Sherrick) Taylor on September 27, 1994 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Taylor was a rigger.

Survivors are:

wife: Missy of the home;

2 daughters: April Taylor of Tulsa, OK and Erica Speck of Sapulpa, OK;

4 sons: Joseph Poeschel and Allison of Tulsa, OK, Derrick Gossett of Tulsa, OK, Derick Higgins and Ashley of Tulsa, OK and Thomas Higgins of Terlton, OK;

7 grandchildren: Kayden, Jordan, Brooklyn, Hazel, Hadley, Holden and Jackson;

sisters: Debbie Chase of Mannford, OK, Rebecca Griffin and Allen of Sand Springs, OK, Jeannetta McCrery of Mannford, OK and Charlin Graham and Greg of Jenks, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Randy Taylor.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Thursday and 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
