Vinton Charles Campbell

Celebration of Life Service for Vinton Charles Campbell, 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Vinton will be laid to rest at Turnersville Cemetery in Turnersville, Texas.

Vinton Charles Campbell went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:30 AM, Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born on December 21, 1942 to Willard Vint and lona (Bull) Campbell in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Vinton was a member of the Greenwood High School of Greenwood, AR class of 1961. He worked for many years as a ranch foreman and retired from the Fort Smith Public Schools. Vinton loved watching westerns, wrestling, and telling stories. Vinton was a loving husband, and “Pop” to his children and grandchildren.

Survivors are his wife of 15 years, Joyce Campbell of Fort Smith, AR; sons, Allen and wife Karen Campbell of Turnersville, TX, Wayne and Tracie Campbell of Palestine, TX. Frank and wife Jillanne McGehee of Oklahoma City, OK, and Michael and fiancé Lupita Parera of Lake Village, AR; daughter, Cherie and husband Mark Koenigseder of Fort Smith, AR; grandchildren, Staton and wife Courtnie Campbell of Palestine, TX, Kyle Campbell of Pflugerville, TX, Noah and wife Becky McGehee of Oklahoma City, OK, Lila McGehee of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerrod and Sydnie Koenigseder of Conway, AR, Brendan McGehee and Alice Malone of Oklahoma City, OK, Autumn and husband Patrick Charvat of TX, and Dustin McGehee of TX; and his great-grandchildren, Christien and Soyier of TX, Henry McGehee of OK and Gwenny Charvat of TX.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Sue (Carter) Campbell; and his parents.
