Viola Noma (Wilson) Smith

Funeral Service for Viola “Vi” Noma (Wilson) Smith, 82, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 12, 1939 in Everett, Washington to Eula Viola (Ream) Wilson and Oscar Wilson and passed away peacefully in her home on January 12, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Richard Nelson Smith on April 9, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2006. She formerly worked as a secretary in Tulare, California and was a member of the Way of the Cross Church. She was a beautiful soul that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are:

1 Daughter, Elvi Morris of Santa Barbara, CA;

1 Son, Hugh Morris of Mayer, AZ;

3 Grandchildren, Cora Vinson of Phoenix, AZ, Janice Bieber of Goodyear, AZ and Heather Garrard of Pinetop, AZ;

9 Great-Grandchildren;

3 Sisters, Lahna Nelson of Brewster, WA, Charlotte Hupp of Tulare, CA, and Sharon Shannon of Tulare, CA;

1 Brother, Lionel Wilson and Joyce of Pateros, WA;

And several other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
