Funeral Service for Viola (Cantrell) Smithpeters, 91, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on December 8, 1932 in Vian, Oklahoma to Lillian Leona (Brashears) Cantrell and Robert Lee Cantrell and passed away on September 26, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Lindel L. "Pat" Smithpeters on February 4, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2012. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are one daughter, Kathy Copeland and Jack of Sallisaw, OK; two sons, Ralph Smithpeters and Sheryl of Elm Springs, AR and Greg Smithpeters and Sonda of Fayetteville, AR; five grandchildren, Dr. Kristopher Copeland and Ranee of Broken Arrow, OK, Brian Smithpeters and Jamie of Fayetteville, AR, Kymberly Dickson and Steve of Elm Springs, AR, Kristin Davison of Fayetteville, AR and Jessica Goldman and Logan of Little Rock, AR; 13 great-grandchildren, Braiden, Cameron, Lennox, Finn, Channing, Hunter, Raeghan, Ashley, Daniel, Avery, Dax, Harley and Abby; one brother, Orville Dewayne Cantrell and Mari of Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Jack Copeland, II; parents; four brothers, Vander, Don, Adrian and Wendell Cantrell; and one sister, Florene Ray.

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
