Memorial Service for Virginia (Matlock) Fugett, 90, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Virginia (Matlock) Fugett, 90, of Muldrow, Oklahoma was born on November 9, 1932 in Central City, Arkansas to Marie A. (Ethridge) Matlock and Orlen Matlock and passed away on February 24, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Gene Fugett on January 1, 1948 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2017. Virginia was a nurse, a great caregiver and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow. She loved to sew and cook. Sunday lunch was her favorite thing to do and it was a buffet to beat all. Those were her favorite memories.

Survivors are four sons, Larry Fugett and Josie of Muldrow, OK, David Fugett and Wanda of Hackett, AR, Carl Fugett and Sherry of Muldrow, OK and Marty Fugett and Clifta of Muldrow, OK; six grandchildren, Dana Moore and Kelly of Greenwood, AR, Eric Fugett and Anastasiya of Nashville, TN, Summer Thomas and David of Muldrow, OK, April Morton and Daniel of Muldrow, OK, Autumn Wickett and J.P. of Sallisaw, OK and Kyle Fugett of Lowell, AR; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Shirley Yarberro and Jerry of Pocola, OK and Joyce McGehee of Muldrow, OK; two brothers, Alton Matlock and Shirley of Sallisaw, OK and Jimmy Matlock and Carolyn of Van Buren, AR; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Fugett; one grandson, Gary Fugett; two great-granddaughters, Hope and Kristian Thomas; and two brothers, Troy Matlock and Carl Matlock.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Fugett, Eric Fugett, Braeden Thomas, J-Luke Wickett, Rylee Morton, Jackson Fugett, Kelly Moore, David Thomas, J.P. Wickett, Daniel Morton, Kent McCoy, McKade Wickett and the men of the Nazarene Church.
