Virginia Lea Copeland

Funeral Service for Virginia Lea “Poppy” Copeland, 77, of Gans, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Redland Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on February 27, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Pearl Jordan Broyles and William Virgil Broyles and passed away on January 8, 2020 in Gans, Oklahoma. She was married to Billy Dean Copeland on October 11, 1957 in Elm Springs, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Gans Bible Church.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Debbie McCormick of Gans, OK;

2 sons: Billy D. Copeland of Gans, OK and Kenny Copeland of Muldrow, OK;

3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Copeland; 1 brother, William Lee Broyles; 2 sisters, Katherine Becerra and Edna Sharp; and her companion, James Nabours.

Active Pallbearers will be Gary McGinnis, Richard Hallmark, Kenny Copeland, Harold McCormick Jr., Robbie Wilson and Ricky Broyles.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Micheal Clarke and Kaleb Beavers.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM
