Willa "Mae" (Fugett) Smith

Funeral Service for Willa "Mae" (Fugett) Smith, 87, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, will be at Noon on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at U.S. National Cemetery at 1:00 PM in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. 

She was born on March 6, 1937 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Margaret (Tabor) Fugett and Willie Bryson Fugett and passed away on November 24, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Jack Anderson Smith, Jr. on March 15, 1956 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was a retired educator, having taught in Foyil, Oklahoma, Coahoma, Texas, and for the Department of Defense School on Misawa Air Base in Japan. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for numerous years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are husband, Jack of the home; one sister, Molly Nichols of Muldrow, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Audrey Lucille Jones; and three brothers, Charles Wesley Fugett, Joe Nathan Fugett and Gene T. Fugett.

Active Pallbearers will be Jargo Jones, Montea Wight, Greg Mitchell, Tad Rhodes, Kenny Barentine and Colby Gibson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the women of the Trinity Methodist Church. 

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK.
